Process & Inspiration
This type-specimen book is inspired by the Frutiger Aero aesthetic, a design aesthetic that dominated the early 2000s. This book employs a mix of aquarium theming and the Windows Aero visual style. Our professor also encouraged us to think outside the box when printing this book. As a result, I learned how to print with the risograph in order to achieve a bright and vibrant visual style. I also learned how to hand-bind my book and learned to use the Glowforge laser cutter. The purpose of this was to create a unique experience when holding the book.
