Karsada Restaurant Branding
Branding created for Karsada, a filipino restaurant which serves traditional filipino street food. The word “karsada” means street, alluding to the nature of the dishes. A menu was also created and is directly inspired by the “pamaypay,” a type of fan which is made by weaving bamboo.
This design won a Silver Award at the AAF Inland Empire ADDY Awards 2025.
Process & Inspiration
Many prototypes were created for the menu's weaving design. This included tests with paper, experimenting with width and shape, as well as the color of the menu itself. Once the shape was decided on, real bamboo strips were used and woven to create an authentic "pamaypay" design.
